The debut album from South America’s one-man pagan black metal regime
Lutemkrat is easily one of the biggest surprises I’ve had with reviewing
CDs. I admit I was sceptical as to what Lutemkrat could deliver, but
having done some research into the album, seen the feedback and heard the
record, I was too impressed with the end result here. Dark, atmospheric
and full-fledged in pushing a massive swirl of chaotic grimness amongst
acoustic passages, The Last Survivor showcases inteligence and adept
songwriting, powerful enough to keep your attention span from start to
finish. Not once does the album sound forced or unfocused, not does it
sound like it was assembled by one individual. Masterful work. Love the
track “Awaiting the final breath.” Great Stuff to discover!
